Virgil is the Principal Partner in the Firm. He has been a general practitioner for over 30 years and has a great deal of experience in the various aspects of law including property, probate, litigation, maritime, family, agriculture, Injuries Board applications, personal injury claims and education.
He was law agent to Kinsale Harbour Commissioners for 30 years and represented the Commissioners in negotiating multi-million Euro contracts for extensive harbour works in Kinsale.
He was founder of Sáile – Kinsale Community Association – and was Chairperson for its first 10 years during which time he secured a 10 acre site from Cork County Council for the construction of community and sports facilities at Cappagh, Kinsale.
He is presently Chairman of the Board of Management of Summercove National School which has a student population of 210 pupils and a school staff of 14 including administrative assistants.
He is a Trustee and founding member of Kinsale Rugby Football Club and was instrumental in the acquisition of the lands where the thriving club now operates.
Virgil combines his role as a busy solicitor in general practice with his voluntary community activity.
Tony is a Partner in the Firm. A native of Kinsale, he studied Law at University College Cork.
Tony is a former Chairman of both the Board of Management of St. John’s National School, and Kinsale Kommunity Kare. He was an active member of Kinsale Parish Finance Committee and a member of the Board of Kinsale Credit Union which helped the transition to First South. Tony continues his voluntary contribution as a Director of both the Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business and Sáile Kinsale Sports & Community Centre.
Tony has previous business interests in the hospitality and construction industries.
His broad experience is useful in the general practice of law which calls on diverse skills and requires a good listener as well as being an advisor and an advocate.Tony deals with criminal and civil litigation together with family, property and probate matters.
Donna deals with all areas of Litigation including personal injury claims, medical negligence, property disputes and dispute resolution. Donna also deals with Family Law matters including separation agreements and divorce proceedings.
Donna joined the firm in 2013 as a trainee solicitor. She completed her studies with the Law Society of Ireland and qualified as a solicitor in April 2015.
Prior to joining the firm Donna worked in the family business for over a decade and brings years of business experience to the firm.
Donna is also widely traveled and in 2007 she moved to New York City to work as an intern for Barry Sheck who is the founder of the New York Innocence Project. Mr Sheck is widely known for his representation of OJ Simpson in his 1995 murder trial.
